DESIGN ENGINEER -

MECHANICAL (Static Equipment)

Job Summary

The Mechanical Design Engineer will carry out basic and detailed engineering activities related to static equipment in a Refinery environment. The role involves supporting technical teams in troubleshooting existing equipment issues and providing engineering expertise for new and modification projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.

• Minimum 10 years of design experience with an engineering consultancy. equipment manufacturer, or engineering division of an operating company in the cill & Gas sector.

• Experience in the design of fired heaters, bollers, and piping works is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform design and calculations for static equipment such

•

as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, and storage tanks using speciolized design software.

Prepare fabrication drawings, BOM, data sheets,

specifications, and material requisitions.

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, TEMA, etc.) and proficiency in software like PV Elite, COMPRE*

and TANK.

• Execute engineering activities for feasibility studies, FEED, detalled mechanical design, procurement, and construction for new and modification

• Prepare tender documents, evaluate technical guidance so procurement activitie,

• Conduct site visits, coordinate with ndraftsmen, and provide training when required.
