Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Freon System Design

  • System Load Analysis: Perform accurate cooling load calculations using CoolSelector, HAP, or similar tools.
  • Equipment Selection: Select compressors, condensers, evaporators, and expansion valves based on performance and cost.
  • Refrigerant Circuit Design: Design piping with proper suction/liquid line sizing and control of pressure drops.

Ammonia System (Basic Knowledge)

  • Assist in conceptual designs focused on exchanger layout and flow paths.
  • Support safety layout development including relief valve sizing and emergency protocols.

Drafting & Documentation

  • Create and update P&ID diagrams and mechanical layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Review and finalize fabrication and installation drawings.
  • Maintain BOMs, design calculations, and datasheets.

Energy Optimization

  • Perform energy analysis to implement VFDs, smart valves, and condenser optimization.
  • Recommend and design with energy-efficient refrigerants and compliant technologies.

Compliance

  • Ensure alignment with international standards and local safety codes.
  • Apply guidelines to ammonia-related designs when applicable.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience

  • Essential: 3 5 years in refrigeration design.

Job Competencies

Technical Competencies

  • Strong understanding of Freon-based refrigeration.
  • Foundational knowledge of Ammonia-based systems.
  • Proficient in thermal analysis and component sizing.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD and technical drawing.

Core Competencies

  • Strong cross-functional communication and documentation skills.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • AutoCAD & SOLIDWORKS.
