Design Engineers (Structural; Electrical & Mechanical) ORASCOM CONSTRUCTION CO 2

Job Purpose The Design Engineer is responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and monitoring all engineering design activities related to the Etihad Rail Project. The role ensures that designs are technically compliant, coordinated among disciplines, aligned with project specifications, and completed within schedule requirements.

Design Review & Coordination

• Review engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical submittals.

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Ensure all designs comply with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

• Identify design conflicts and coordinate timely resolution.

• Participate in design coordination meetings and technical discussions.

• Monitor design progress and ensure timely submission of deliverables.

  
  

Technical Support

• Provide technical clarification and engineering support to construction and project teams.

• Review design changes, revisions, and value engineering proposals.

• Verify constructability and practicality of engineering solutions.

• Assist in preparing technical reports and engineering documentation.

  
  

Interface Management

• Coordinate interfaces between civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, signaling, telecom, and railway systems disciplines.

• Liaise with stakeholders, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors regarding design matters.

• Ensure proper communication between design and site execution teams.
