Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Working as a core member of our pipeline design team, you will work on the design of piping and instrument (P&ID), process flow (PFD), and cause and effect (C&E) diagrams. You will contribute to conceptual, preliminary and detailed design studies.

What will you be doing?

  • Prepare layouts and engineering drawings for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams on determining and addressing project priorities.
  • Assist Engineers and Designers in resolving design issues.
  • Interact with clients to discuss and resolve drafting related issues.
  • Ensure that all drawings adhere to client, industry and company standards.
  • Ensure that Supervisors receive regularly and timely process updates.
  • Perform quality checks on design drawings and layouts.
  • Oversee and direct the work of other drafting professionals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Always comply with the company s QHSE policies, manuals, procedures, work systems and regulations at ABL premises, projects and client sites

Desired Candidate Profile

Ideally, you will have experience working on the drafting and design of P&IDs, PFDs and C&Es. We are also looking for the following things:

  • At least 5 years relevant experience.
  • Sound knowledge of industry standards and codes and the ability to apply standards to Process Design drawings.
  • Experience with updating drawings based against red-line mark-ups from field.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCad 3D software.
  • Possess 3D knowledge (PDMS), Tribon or similar software.
  • Proficiency in SmartPlant software is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
