About the Role

The DevOps Team Leader is responsible for supervising day-to-day operations of the DevOps team, ensuring the efficient delivery of automation, cloud-native solutions, and CI/CD processes. The role combines technical expertise with team leadership, supporting team members, prioritizing workloads, and aligning with cross-functional stakeholders to meet Zain s digital transformation goals.

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of DevOps Analysts and Specialists, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
Plan and prioritize team tasks to ensure delivery of DevOps projects and operational objectives on time.
Oversee the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and cloud-native deployments.
Ensure governance and maintenance of Application Performance Management (APM) tools and Kubernetes platforms.
Support the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) and optimize deployment environments.
Review and validate team members solutions to ensure alignment with best practices, security requirements, and performance standards.
Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure smooth integration and operations.
Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to DevOps practices.
Perform all the above-mentioned roles and responsibilities in compliance to the Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies and report any information/physical security breaches or incidents to the supervisor/manager immediately.
Be aware of, and adhere to, all environmental requirements as set by the statutory bodies in Kuwait, or by the published policies of Zain Group/Kuwait.

Skills:

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Go Language.
Understanding of various types of infrastructure resources.
Familiarity with operating systems like Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Basic knowledge of relational databases.
Familiarity with deployment tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Spinnaker, etc.
Basic knowledge of "Infrastructure as Code" tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernete

Education:

Bachelors Degree

Experience:

5+ Years of Experience
