Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Select appropriate materials for die construction, considering factors like durability and production volume requirements.
- Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders to create die components.
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on dies to minimize downtime and extend tool life.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
- Perform rigorous quality control checks on dies and finished products to ensure they meet industry standards.
- Implement modifications to existing dies to improve efficiency and output based on production feedback.
- Train and mentor junior die makers and apprentices in best practices and safety protocols.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during manufacturing processes.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills can be an advantage in diverse work environments.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
