Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Cooperating in the area of minimizing downtimes and supporting in the creation of the 5S, SMED, TPM program.
- Implementing and supervising of production standards compliant with the Electrolux Manufacturing System (EMS).
- Collaborate with machinists and production teams to ensure accurate tool production.
- Plan, execute and follow up the Preventive & Autonomous Maintenance Plans for all tools.
- Design, develop and test tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures using CAD software
- Analyze and improve upon current tooling methods to increase efficiency and reduce cost
- Work closely with production and design teams to ensure tools are functional and yield high-quality products
- Document tooling processes, modifications and specifications for future reference
- Perform regular maintenance and repair on tools to ensure longevity and functionality
- Identify, diagnose and resolve sheet metal, plastic & thermoforming mold and dies within deadlines.
- Analyses the frequent failures, diagnosing its causes, suggesting suitable treats and supervising corrective action to decrease the probability of those failure.
- Coordinates with Dies & Tools manager the technical specifications for all spare parts needed to be purchased and their alternatives.
- Monitors pre-maintenance preparation and coordinating with the warehouse for quick providing of spare parts.
- Follows up inspection reports and supervising the performance of workers in repairing failures that could retard production and reasons of that failure and their repeatability.
- Estimates the dies & tools maintenance budget and reporting to the dies & tools manager, following up the department expanses and achieving cost reductions.
- Develops profile of all information for each tool.
- Provides tools of the section.
- Commits technical rules.
- Follow up on daily maintenance requests with the technicians.
- ISO Requirements for the maintenance department.
- Keep dies & tools in a good working condition.
- Plan & manage multiple priorities and meet daily production targets while consistently reducing downtime.
- Sets maintenance works assigned to production department.
- Works on cost reduction of the product through maintenance activities.
- Recommends the organizing spare parts warehouse.
- Improves workers performance through appropriate trainings.
- Evaluates workers and identifying development opportunities.
- Implements Lean Manufacturing project whenever needed.
- Improve safety and health condition in his area.
- Improve Environmental impact & implement Zero landfill waste management system.
Organizational Relationships:
- Supervision of: Dies & tools Technicians
- Functional relationships with all plant s departments
- External Relationships: suppliers
Desired Candidate Profile
Education, Skills, Experience required:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering; Design & manufacturing major preferably.
- 0-3 years of experience in related field preferably in home appliances field
- Proficiency of English language (written and oral)
- Good literal of MS office and computer skills
- Capability for leadership
