Digital Forensics Examining lead
Job Purpose

The Digital Forensics Examiner is responsible for acquiring, preserving, analyzing, and presenting digital evidence from computers, mobile devices, networks, and cloud storage in support of criminal investigations, civil litigation, and cybersecurity incidents. The examiner must follow forensically methods to ensure evidence integrity and testify in court as an expert witness when required
Job Accountabilities

Evidence Acquisition & Preservation:
-Securely seize, image, and analyze digital evidence from computers, smartphones, IoT devices, and network logs
Forensic Analysis:
-Conduct file recovery (deleted, encrypted, or damaged data).
Examine hard drives, RAM, mobile devices, and cloud data for traces of illicit activity.
Reporting & Testimony:
-Prepare detailed forensic reports for law enforcement.
Serve as an expert witness in court proceedings.

Desired Candidate Profile



Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or a related field.
Certain Certifications are a plus:
-Certified Forensic Computer Examiner.
-GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst.
-EnCase Certified Examiner.
Required Experience

3+ years in digital forensics, and/or cybersecurity investigations.
Proficiency in some forensic tools is needed:
-FTK (Forensic Toolkit), Autopsy, X-Ways, Cellebrite (UFED), EnCase, Volatility (memory forensics).
-Knowledge of file systems (NTFS, FAT, APFS, EXT4) and data carving techniques
-Experience with network forensics (Wireshark, log analysis) and malware reverse engineering.
-Familiarity with OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) tools for investigations.
Required Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to pay attention to detail while handling multiple, simultaneous projects. written and verbal communication (must produce clear forensic reports).
Excellent report writing skills.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
