Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Dimensional Survey & Control

  • Perform dimensional surveys during all stages of fabrication, fit-up, welding, and final inspection
  • Measure geometry, true lengths, splay angles, footprints, theoretical coordinates, elevations, and as-built angles as required.
  • Conduct pre-weld and post-weld surveys as per the Dimensional Control Plan (DCP) and ITP.
  • Maintain dimensional logs, OOT (Out of Tolerance) records, and submit daily reports to coordinators.

Technical Documentation

  • Prepare dimensional control plans, inspection reports, and theoretical coordinate charts.
  • Generate dimensional reports and obtain client/third-party approval.
  • Manage all dimensional survey documentation and maintain accurate records of inspections.

Equipment Calibration & Management

  • Ensure all dimensional measurement tools (Leica, Sokkia, Topcon instruments) are calibrated and records updated.
  • Utilize Total Stations, laser scanners (if applicable), levels, and alignment equipment.
