Dimension Controller

Responsible for monitoring, controlling dimensional inspection, and survey activities at site.

Primary Responsibilities

• Calculate geometry, true length, splay angle, footprint, length of each elevation, as-built angle, camber, and theoretical coordinates for related projects.
• Perform dimensional surveys and ensure all structural elements are within specifications at all stages.
• Calibrate all survey measuring equipment and maintain calibration records.
• Prepare plan locations and calculate all theoretical coordinates related to the project.
• Maintain daily logs, out-of-tolerance (OOT) records, and supply dimensional activity data statistics to the Coordinator KPI.
• Understand and implement company procedures and policies.
• Maintain high standards of safe working practices, quality, and productivity in compliance with the code of business conduct.
• Must have a high level of understanding of international ISO / EN / AWS / EEMUA and ASME tolerances for structural and process piping fabrication codes and specifications.
• Develop, write, and qualify dimensional control procedures for typical EPCC oil and gas projects.
• High level of fabrication and dimensional control measurement experience for offshore structures (subsea, process piping, jackets, topsides, and decks) is mandatory.
• Experience with all typical Leica measuring equipment is mandatory; previous laser scanning experience is advantageous.
• Report to Project QC Manager / Senior QC Engineer on any dimensional quality issues and revisions that may be required.
