Roles & Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Skilled in bits (including selecting and using bits for motor BHAs).
  • Skilled in drilling jars (including basic operation)
  • Skilled in making well plans.
  • Skilled in motors (including selecting, operating and dealing with problems with motor BHAs).
  • Skilled in using MWD and gyro surveys.
  • Skilled in planning BHAs (including rotary and motor BHAs, calculating hydraulics and T & D).
  • Skilled in sidetracks (including doing a sidetracking).
  • Prepare the equipment list at the rig.
  • Prepare and QC daily drilling reports to company man and town
  • Prepare fishing diagram of every BHA component
  • Import well plan into the drilling software and confirm the validity of the same
  • Make sure all the BHA component are at the rig site as per proposed BHA
  • Controlling NPT due to malfunctioning of directional tools.
