Director – Data & AI Solutions (Global COE – India)

The Company is seeking a Director – Data & AI Solutions to establish and lead a Global Data & AI Center of Excellence (CoE) based in Pune, India. This role will drive the design, development, and delivery of Data & AI solutions across the GCC and broader region, working closely with regional sales and customer teams.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership, business acumen, and execution capability, with proven experience in positioning and delivering enterprise-scale AI and data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & CoE Development

• Build and lead a high-performing Data & AI CoE in India

• Hire and manage teams including Data Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, Architects, and Data Scientists

• Define delivery frameworks, governance models, and best practices

Solution Design & Delivery

• Lead architecture and delivery of:

  • Data platforms (Lakehouse, ETL, data pipelines)

  • AI/ML solutions and MLOps frameworks

  • Generative AI and agent-based systems

• Ensure scalable, secure, and high-quality implementations

Regional Engagement (GCC Focus)

• Support sales and pre-sales teams across GCC in solution positioning

• Engage with customers to define requirements and drive successful delivery

• Manage multi-country project execution

AI & Innovation

• Drive development of AI-led solutions including:

  • Predictive analytics

  • Generative AI (LLMs, RAG)

  • Intelligent automation and enterprise AI agents

• Build reusable accelerators and frameworks

Pre-Sales & Business Enablement

• Contribute to proposals, RFPs, and solution design

• Present solutions to senior stakeholders and CXOs

• Support pipeline growth and deal conversion

Delivery Excellence & Managed Services

• Establish best practices for project delivery and AI lifecycle management

• Build capabilities for managed Data & AI services

• Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and customer satisfaction

Key Skills & Expertise

• Strong leadership and team-building experience

• Deep expertise in Data Engineering, AI/ML, and Analytics

• Experience with enterprise data platforms and cloud ecosystems

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Experience working in global delivery models (offshore + onshore)

Preferred Technical Exposure

• Data Platforms: Cloudera, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric

• ETL & Integration: Informatica, APIs, streaming platforms

• AI/ML: Python, ML frameworks, MLOps tools

• GenAI: LLMs, RAG, vector databases

• Cloud: Azure (preferred), AWS, GCP

• BI Tools: Power BI, Tableau

Experience Requirements

• 12–18+ years in Data, Analytics, and AI

• 5+ years in leadership roles managing technical teams

• Proven experience in building teams and delivering enterprise-scale Data & AI projects

• Exposure to GCC or international markets is preferred
