We re looking for a Senior Account Director to work across one of Wasserman s most important global clients in Riyadh. Join our team today!
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
We re looking for a senior lead who can bring together two Project Directors in a holistic portfolio dynamic, provide strategic consultancy, and oversee the rollout of world-class activation plans across a high-profile, multi-stakeholder account.
You will be part of our Brands team based in Wasserman s UAE offices (with flexible working options). You will work with colleagues across the Middle East as well as the wider global team, and will need to travel frequently between UAE and KSA, as well as other international markets as required. You will report into an Associate Director and will have direct reports.
You will be passionate and knowledgeable about managing large-scale global partnerships, with proven experience delivering against complex briefs, coordinating multiple rights holders, and leading significant client relationships.
General responsibilities include:
- Relationship management: As the senior day-to-day point person, you are key to fostering a one team/one partnership relationship across the account.
- Business development: Help identify and grow opportunities across retained clients and the wider Wasserman network.
- Creative & production management: Provide oversight, ensuring the right people are engaged at the right time, and deliver excellent creative and operational outputs.
- Strategic oversight: Shape and drive activation strategy across campaigns, ensuring alignment with client ambitions and stakeholder needs.
1. Account Management
- Lead senior client relationships and ensure consistent alignment across multiple stakeholders.
- Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between the client, Wasserman, and partner organisations.
- Build trust and credibility with senior client decision-makers whilst guiding internal teams to deliver against expectations.
- Maintain deep knowledge of Wasserman s skillsets, capabilities, and positioning to identify opportunities for growth.
- Act as the senior day-to-day client lead, embedding a one team, one partnership culture across multiple stakeholders.
- Essential to have significant experience leading complex, multi-layered global accounts.
2. Planning & Strategic Management
- Shape and drive sponsorship and partnership activation strategies across multiple campaigns and markets.
- Manage communication channels across account management, activation, creative and production workstreams.
- Drive idea generation and brainstorming with the wider team where required.
- Monitor and refine workflows to balance flexibility with efficiency.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously and manage priorities effectively.
- Direct project managers and account teams in the delivery of assets, planning, activation, and reporting.
- Manage approvals and ensure delivery remains aligned to client objectives and feedback.
- Validate and stress-test briefs to ensure clarity, alignment, and opportunity.
3. Forecasting & Profitability
- Track and monitor budgets across the client portfolio.
- Work closely with project managers, account leads and finance teams to set up robust reporting and tracking processes.
- Forecast profitability and provide monthly reporting.
- Use reconciliations and financial insights to inform future scoping, optimise efficiency, and ensure consistency.
- Run a monthly financial status review to keep all stakeholders updated.
4. Growth & Business Development
- Identify and unlock opportunities to expand Wasserman s role with the client.
- Develop new business tools and capability presentations to support growth.
- Act as a thought leader, contributing to workshops, inspiration sessions, and strategic discussions with the client.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
- Extensive experience in a similar role with a proven track record across Account Management, Brand Planning and Brand Activation.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, multi-market, multi-stakeholder accounts within an agency environment.
- Ability to analyse business performance and drive incremental account growth.
- Deep understanding of brand rights holder dynamics and rights holder relationships
- Strong strategic acumen with the ability to link creative delivery to commercial growth.
- Strong grasp of financial processes, including forecasting and reporting.
- Full comprehension and ownership of the agency client dynamic.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy and commitment to success, with a proven ability to manage senior stakeholder expectations.
- Confident, articulate and passionate, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong leadership skills with the confidence to challenge and guide strategic direction.
- Strong project management style, able to lead client relationships and create the right environment for proactive delivery across multiple locations
- Comfortable working at pace in high-profile, high-stakes environments.
Desired Candidate Profile
