Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Shall be part of transaction team and work on originating, structuring, and negotiating transactions by conducting financial / accounting/market due diligence for prospective Borrowers / Issuers (financial analysis, market analysis, rating reports, industry reports, trends in debt market, soft market circling)

Close coordination with various stakeholders (including relationship, operations, Agency, Sharia team & other banks) in the documentation and disbursement of various transactions (including the ability to work for legal counsels independently)

Supporting the distribution team in selling transactions to potential investors

Managing relationships with external legal counsels as well as internal legal, documentation & risk teams.

Handling & managing post-closing matters, on a need basis, such as covenant compliance, condition subsequent, special client requirements, or one-off amendment processes

Structuring

Closely working with internal (origination team and relationship & risk management) and external (bank customers/counter-party banks & legal counsels) to structure deals meeting the requirement of all the parties.

Fronting discussions with internal stakeholders, including senior management, risk management as well as other operational teams

Putting together structures (viz term sheets) that make a transaction bankable, which are executable within reasonable timelines and meet client requirements.

Execution

Closely working with external (client, participating banks & external legal counsels) and internal (documentation, legal, relationship & risk teams) for successful execution of facility agreement within the overall parameters & timelines

Other Areas

Supporting the origination team on deal origination efforts.

10-14 years or more experience in Investment Banking or Structured Finance.

Previous experience of working on multi-bank transactions

Strong credit, legal knowledge, and marketing skills are mandatory.

Thorough awareness of various financial products/services.

Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to perform as a team player

Desired Candidate Profile

MBA / CAs preferred. CFA is a plus

Personal integrity, initiative, and leadership qualities
