Roles & Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the development and execution of a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with immersive and interactive content, real-time systems, and large-scale audience experiences
  • Defining and managing a technical roadmap for AI use across generative content, real-time interactivity, spatial computing, and personalised experiences
  • Building and scaling AI infrastructure, including tools and systems supporting NLP, computer vision, simulation, and generative media
  • Overseeing iterative prototyping, testing, and refinement of AI-enhanced features to support dynamic storytelling and user interaction
  • Acting as the key liaison between internal creative, technical, and production teams, as well as external AI vendors, universities, and regulatory partners
  • Managing cross-functional schedules, production pipelines, and vendor engagement to ensure timely and integrated AI delivery
  • Staying up to date with global advancements in AI and immersive technologies, and bringing new innovation opportunities into the roadmap
  • Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, ethical AI frameworks, and culturally sensitive standards specific to the GCC region
  • Supporting the development of a high-performing, collaborative team capable of bridging technical excellence with creative ambition

Desired Candidate Profile

A major project in the Middle East is seeking a Director of Artificial Intelligence to drive the strategic vision and execution of AI across next-generation entertainment, architecture, and experience platforms.

What we're looking for:

  • A bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field (AI/ML specialisation preferred)
  • At least 7 years of senior AI experience, ideally within immersive media, experience design, or large-scale digital systems
  • Proven track record of deploying AI across real-time engines, audience engagement tools, or generative environments such as XR or interactive installations
  • Strong background in AI infrastructure, data lifecycle, deployment frameworks (cloud and edge), and creative systems integration
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-disciplinary teams including product, R&D, creative, and engineering stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to lead while also contributing hands-on when necessary
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical ideas for non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with compliance issues around data privacy, bias mitigation, and regulatory frameworks in international and GCC markets
