We re looking for a Director of Engineering Applications to lead and scale our mobile engineering organization across iOS and Android. This role is ideal for someone who grew through the ranks of mobile development, matured into leading cross-functional squads, and is now ready to set a strategic vision at org-wide scale. You will not only oversee world-class mobile product delivery but also shape the long-term direction, foster engineering excellence, and partner with product and business leadership to ensure our apps remain industry-leading in both experience and technology.

What you will do

• Set the Vision: Define and communicate the strategic roadmap for our mobile platforms aligned with company goals.
• Scale & Lead Teams: Build, mentor, and empower multiple high-performing squads of iOS and Android engineers across regions.
• Drive Engineering Excellence: Champion modern practices including CI/CD, modular architectures, automated testing, and mobile DevOps at scale.
• Ensure Reliability & Scale: Oversee system performance, availability, and scalability across millions of users.
• Own Delivery: Manage delivery pipelines, stakeholder expectations, budgets, and outcomes at an organizational level.
• Talent & Culture: Develop engineering leaders through coaching, performance management, and career development programs.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with design, product, QA, backend, and data teams to create a seamless product development lifecycle.
• Technology Leadership: Stay ahead of platform updates, mobile tech trends, and innovations, ensuring our apps are consistently best-in-class.
• Data-Driven Improvements: Monitor KPIs, analytics, and user feedback to continuously improve quality, adoption, and retention.
• Executive Partnership: Collaborate with C-level leaders to align technical direction with business strategy and influence company-wide product decisions.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in mobile engineering, with proven technical depth across iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java).
• 5+ years in engineering leadership (Senior Manager, Director, or higher), scaling teams of 40+ engineers across multiple squads.
• Demonstrated success leading mobile engineering in high-growth SaaS or consumer product companies.
• Strong background in mobile architecture, scalability, release management, and platform reliability.
• Hands-on knowledge of Agile, distributed teams, and managing complex delivery pipelines.
• Strong executive communication skills and proven ability to align engineering priorities with product and business objectives.
• Solid grasp of mobile analytics, experimentation, crash reporting, and feedback loops.
• Track record of building engineering culture that balances velocity, quality, and innovation.
• Fluency in English with outstanding written and verbal communication.
