Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for directing and managing the overall operations of the Purchasing, Receiving and Storeroom Department to ensure that all departments of the hotel have adequate supplies. Additionally, you will be responsible for keeping abreast of new and alternative products in the market to enhance cost effectiveness and quality standards, and to ensure that we maintain the highest level of integrity and transparency in dealing with business partners.
Responsibilities will include talent leadership and development, ensuring all local and corporate policies, internal controls and safeguards are complied with, ensure proper authorization has been obtained for all hotel-specific purchasing contracts and conduct, managing and completing competitive bids, ensuring management agreements and all other purchasing agreement terms and conditions are fulfilled, quarterly reviews, annual forecasts and budgets, conducting quality control audits, monitoring costs, coordinating all month-end, quarterly and annual inventories and supporting the hotel s Safety Committee and Green initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
Pre-Opening experience in hotel purchasing, sound cost analysis and cost management skills, a clear understanding of internal controls, a strong commitment to services and basic technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles along with job knowledge of positions in Purchasing and Food & Beverage control.
You should have the highest level of integrity and transparency, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams, the ability to prepare and deliver reports, effective presentations and to facilitate meetings, strong negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict-resolution and strategic-thinking skills, and a desire to promote a continuous learning environment that creates an atmosphere for professional development opportunities.
Fluency in Arabic and English is a must for this location, along with current eligibility to work in Lebanon.
