Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dynamic, and enthusiastic Director of Sport to lead our talented, committed, and pupil-centred Physical Education team. The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader with a proven record of driving effective, collaborative, and sustainable improvement across a range of contexts, both within departments and through strong partnerships with the wider community. The ability to teach across all key stages, from KS1 to A Level, is essential.

As the Director of Sport, you will set the tone and ethos for Sport and PE across the Primary and Secondary schools. You will articulate a clear and ambitious vision that inspires staff and pupils alike, and ensure that this vision is grounded in the College s values, strategic direction, and Learner Profile.

In leading Sport and PE, you will cultivate a culture defined by commitment, enthusiasm and cooperation, ensuring that the core values of Doha College permeate all aspects of physical education and sporting life. You will lead best practice in teaching, coaching, Co-curricular enrichment, physical wellbeing and competitive sport, and make a meaningful contribution to the school s ongoing strategic development.

You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating pupil achievement, as well as the effectiveness of staff in delivering the College s strategic priorities, vision and mission. As Director of Sport, you will be an exemplary role model within the Department and across the College as a whole.

We are a British international school and all lessons are taught in English. A high standard of written and spoken English is therefore essential.
