Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting the Section Head Disaster Management to conduct regular audits and assessments on the disaster preparedness and response plans for all applicable MNGHA services and responsible officials to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements, quality control protocols, safety standards and internal policies.

Conduct comprehensive study pertaining to all potential risks in the implementation of emergency disaster preparedness and response plans in collaboration with technical and clinical staff. Recommend improvement plans and strategies that eliminate those risks.

Establish and maintain a compliant environment for disaster management procedures and ensure that all processes align with the best practices. Participate in reviewing MNGHA healthcare systems and the necessary protocols that work closely with the disaster preparedness and response plans. Analyze gaps in preparedness using structured frameworks and tools

Collaborate with all Disaster Management officials to establish and maintain quality control and assurance programs. Monitor and analyze quality metrics and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement. Review the department s policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all applicable disaster management trends, regulatory requirements, safety regulations, accreditation and safety standards.

Evaluate compliance with regulatory requirements, quality control measures, and internal policies by participating in reviewing documentation, observing technical and clinical practices, and analyzing data to identify areas of non-compliance or opportunities for improvement. Assess the impact of new systems, technologies, processes, or changes in regulations; implement appropriate controls to minimize non-compliance issues.

Ensure alignment of the MNGHA disaster preparedness and response plans and other disaster management documents with national regulations, accreditation requirements and international standards (e.g., ICS, WHO, FEMA, IAEA), as applicable.

Provide training and education to Disaster Management staff on compliance-related topics, including regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and documentation practices. Ensure all technical and healthcare team members recognize one s responsibilities and are equipped to meet compliance standards.

Provide assistance in the preparation of materials for audits, drills and inspections including analytical input for improvement plans and corrective actions. Ensure accurate and complete records/documentation of compliance activities. Ensure that Disaster Management policies, procedures, and manuals are up-to-date and easily accessible to staff members.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor Degree in Medicine/MBBS, Disaster Medicine or related Health Science discipline from an accredited institution. Master Degree / PhD Degree in Disaster Medicine or related Health Science discipline from an accredited institution. For Bachelor Degree holder: Minimum of 10 (ten) years position-related practice experience. For Master Degree holder: Minimum of 6 (six) years position-related practical experience. For PhD Degree holder: Minimum of 2 (two) years position-related practical experience. English Language :Level I. Computer :Level II. South African, Ages 28 60, BMI 30 or below,
