Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We, at Emarat Aloula are looking for a competent Document Controller who will be responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining all technical documents, project records, correspondence, and drawings related to construction and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that documentation is properly stored, updated, and distributed in accordance with company and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and control all project documents, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely availability to all project stakeholders.
- Receive, review, and register incoming and outgoing documents (drawings, submittals, correspondence, reports, etc.) in the document control system.
- Ensure all documents comply with company and client document control procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date logs for document tracking and ensure proper filing of soft and hard copies.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth document flow and traceability.
- Prepare and issue transmittals for document distribution to internal and external parties.
- Support QA/QC and project teams in the preparation of project closeout documents, O&M manuals, and final handover submissions.
- Regularly back up and secure documentation to prevent loss of data.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure controlled access to sensitive project documents.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant UAE experience as a Document Controller, preferably in infrastructure, utilities, or construction contracting projects.
- Strong knowledge of document control standards, filing systems, and document numbering protocols.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and document control software (e.g., Aconex, EDMS, etc.).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
