Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess dogs' temperaments and behavioral issues to develop tailored training plans, ensuring effective and safe learning environments.
  • Implement positive reinforcement techniques, such as rewards and praise, to motivate dogs and foster a strong bond during training sessions.
  • Teach basic obedience commands (sit, stay, come, etc.) and advanced skills, adapting methods to suit individual dog and owner needs.
  • Address and correct problem behaviors (e.g., excessive barking, biting, separation anxiety) through specialized training programs.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates with a degree in animal behavior or a related field.
  • Possess a professional dog training certification (e.g., CPDT-KA, Karen Pryor Academy Certified Trainer) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a dog trainer, with a proven track record of successful training outcomes.
  • Experience in the animal care industry, with a strong understanding of canine health, nutrition, and breed-specific characteristics.
