Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth within the down-trade channel by executing strategic plans and achieving set targets, focusing on volume and value.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key down-trade distributors and retailers to ensure product availability and optimal shelf space.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth, optimize promotions, and improve product placement in the down-trade segment.
- Manage and mentor a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to enhance their effectiveness.
- Oversee the implementation of trade marketing activities, including in-store promotions, point-of-sale materials, and merchandising strategies.
- Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics within the down-trade channel to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Manage the sales budget effectively, controlling expenses and maximizing return on investment for all down-trade sales initiatives.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement tailored campaigns for the down-trade market, ensuring brand visibility and engagement.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including sales processes, pricing strategies, and ethical business practices.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to senior management, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Possesses 5-7 years of progressive experience in FMCG sales, with a strong focus on down-trade channels and distributor management.
- Demonstrates a proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth, and expanding market share within the down-trade segment.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of the down-trade market, including consumer behavior, distribution networks, and competitive landscape.
- Has strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Possesses excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, train, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and retailers.
- Exhibits strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to close deals, manage conflicts, and achieve favorable outcomes.
- Is fluent in English and any other local languages, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Is proficient in using CRM software, sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) to manage sales operations.
