Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Plan, teach, and assess engaging History lessons in alignment with the IB Diploma Programme (DP) framework.
Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.
Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages inquiry, debate, and critical thinking about historical events and perspectives.
Contribute to extracurricular activities that enrich students holistic development and global awareness.
Foster respect and appreciation for Qatari culture and values within the school community.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in History and/or Education (advanced degree preferred)
Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching license
Minimum of 3-4 years teaching experience
Minimum 2 years experience in IB schools
Experience with the IB Diploma Programme (DP) or strong familiarity with inquiry-based, student-centered learning approaches
Expertise in differentiated instruction to support diverse learning needs, abilities, and styles
Collaborative team player who thrives in multicultural, international faculty environments
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience in managing classroom challenges and supporting student growth
