Draftsman Aluminum Works

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed technical shop drawings, fabrication drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and layouts for aluminum works such as curtain walls, doors, windows, fa ades, and cladding systems using AutoCAD.
• Translate architectural and structural drawings into accurate, functional, and production-ready drawings.
• Prepare and manage aluminum cutting lists, material take-offs (MTO), and material request sheets (MRS) for fabrication and production.
• Review tender, architectural, and structural drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Revise and update drawings based on consultant, client, or site comments, ensuring proper revision control.
• Apply technical knowledge of aluminum profiles and systems (e.g., Technal, Reynaers, Gulf Extrusions).
• Coordinate closely with project managers, production teams, and site engineers to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
• Ensure timely submission of shop drawings for approval in line with project schedules.
• Maintain accuracy in measurements, calculations, and detailing to minimize fabrication and installation errors.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2 3 years of experience as a Draftsman, preferably in aluminum, fa ade, metals, or manufacturing industries.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); experience with 3D design software is an advantage.
• Solid knowledge of aluminum fabrication, fa ade engineering, or curtain wall detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, structural details, and technical specifications.
• High attention to detail with strong accuracy in drafting and measurements.
• Ability to manage multiple drawings and revisions efficiently.
• Good coordination and communication skills to work with internal teams and site staff.
• Knowledge of Qatar construction standards and practices is an advantage.
