Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts for construction and engineering projects using CAD software.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into accurate drawings.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback, design changes, or site conditions.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings and documentation for completed projects.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design conflicts and ensure drawing consistency.
- Conduct site visits to gather measurements and verify drawing accuracy as needed.
- Support the project team by providing technical input and clarifications during construction phases.
- Stay updated on the latest drafting technologies and best practices to enhance drawing quality and efficiency.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Draftsman in the construction or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing technical drawings.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an office environment.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
- Willingness to conduct occasional site visits as required.
