Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare detailed technical drawings and plans for Electrical, and light current systems using AutoCAD and other drafting software.

  • Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into accurate technical drawings.
  • Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineering teams, site surveys, and project requirements.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and local regulations.
  • Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation for easy retrieval and reference.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, civil) to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within overall project designs.
  • Assist in preparing as-built drawings and documentation upon project completion.
  • Support the procurement and installation teams by providing clear, detailed drawings and technical clarifications as needed.
  • Conduct site visits to gather necessary measurements, verify existing conditions, and resolve discrepancies between drawings and site realities.
  • Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure alignment with project timelines.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience as a Draftsman, preferably within the electrical or construction industry.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing technical drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with engineers, project managers, and site teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and industry standards.
  • Willingness to conduct site visits and adapt to project requirements.
