Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install duct systems, including both supply and return air ducts, in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings, adhering to building codes and safety regulations.
  • Securely fasten ductwork using various methods such as screws, rivets, and welding, guaranteeing airtight connections and preventing leaks.
  • Seal all ductwork joints and seams with appropriate sealants or tape to eliminate air leakage and maximize HVAC system efficiency.
  • Inspect installed duct systems for proper alignment, support, and insulation, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as plumbers and electricians, to coordinate ductwork installations and avoid conflicts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, disposing of waste materials properly and adhering to safety protocols.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in HVAC or sheet metal work is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in duct installation, demonstrating proficiency in various installation techniques.
  • Experience working in the construction industry, with exposure to residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
  • Strong technical skills in reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and fabricating ductwork components.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and maneuvering in confined spaces.
