Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for duty free products, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to maximize value and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to identify new product opportunities and enhance the duty free assortment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and finance, to align purchasing strategies with business objectives.
- Manage purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve any discrepancies or issues with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and customs requirements for duty free goods.
- Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance for management review.
- Participate in periodic supplier evaluations and performance reviews to maintain high standards of quality and service.
- Support the implementation of process improvements and best practices within the purchasing function.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying, preferably within the duty free, retail, or hospitality sector.
- Proven ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and vendors.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and supplier performance.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with inventory management and procurement software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
- Understanding of customs regulations and compliance requirements for duty free goods is a plus.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills to address challenges in the supply chain.
- Able to work from site in Hurghada
