Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all E&I maintenance activities for conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, crushers, ship loaders/unloaders, and associated systems
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and instrumentation faults to minimize downtime
  • Oversee calibration, testing, and maintenance of field instruments (sensors, transmitters, analyzers, etc.)
  • Manage PLC, SCADA, and control systems for plant automation and optimization
  • Plan and execute shutdowns, breakdown maintenance, and major repairs
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies
  • Lead, train, and supervise maintenance engineers, technicians, and contractors
  • Maintain maintenance records, reports, and documentation
  • Coordinate with operations, mechanical teams, and external vendors
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and control maintenance costs

Desired Candidate Profile

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or related field
  • 14 18 years of experience in E&I maintenance in bulk material handling, cement, mining, or port operations
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA/DCS systems, motors, drives (VFDs), MCCs, switchgear, and field instrumentation
  • Experience with large-scale conveyor systems and automation
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of safety standards and best practices
  • Immediate or short notice joining preferred
