Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Design and oversee enterprise infrastructure architecture aligned with business objectives and long-term technology strategy.
Lead evaluation, selection, and implementation of infrastructure technologies, balancing innovation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Establish and maintain infrastructure standards, governance frameworks, and best practices across the organization.
Ensure optimal performance, availability, resilience, and cost-efficiency of infrastructure platforms.
Collaborate closely with Information Security teams to embed security-by-design principles and ensure regulatory compliance.
Drive disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity planning initiatives.
Provide architectural guidance for large-scale infrastructure transformation programs.
Partner with cross-functional teams including applications, operations, and DevOps to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
Support automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure environments.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, design, and enterprise-scale implementations.
Proven track record delivering large, complex infrastructure transformation programs.
Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
Prior experience in Qatar or strong understanding of the local regulatory and enterprise landscape is an advantage.
Certifications (Preferred)
TOGAF Certification
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or equivalent cloud certifications)
ITIL
VMware, Azure, Cisco, or other relevant infrastructure certifications
Technical Expertise
Strong experience designing and managing hybrid (cloud and on-premises) infrastructure environments.
Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
Solid understanding of networking, storage, and compute architecture.
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools, automation frameworks, and scripting.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools (e.g., Orbus iServer).
Knowledge of Agile, DevOps methodologies, and infrastructure automation practices.
Experience implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
Knowledge of Qatar Government Enterprise Architecture (QGEA) is a plus.
