Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs in compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
- Lead and coordinate risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Establish and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and best practices across all operational areas.
- Provide expert guidance and training to employees and management on EHS standards, emergency response, and safe work practices.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, incidents, and compliance status to senior leadership.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, conducting root cause analyses and implementing preventive measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into operational and strategic decision-making.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving EHS regulations and industry trends, ensuring continuous improvement of EHS programs.
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, external auditors, and other stakeholders regarding EHS matters.
- Drive a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Strong knowledge of local, national, and international EHS regulations and standards.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing EHS compliance in a fast-paced, global organization.
- Ability to analyze complex data and prepare clear, actionable reports.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency with EHS management systems and relevant software tools.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
