Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Under broad direction, coordinates the activities involved in maintaining and repairing Geopilot down-hole tool electronics, sub assemblies and surface equipment. Promote services excellence and customer satisfaction. Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced maintenance personnel. Assigns work to subordinate personnel. Schedules equipment to be serviced and maintained on a daily basis. Insure the successful execution of maintenance processes in a safe and efficient manner. Diagnoses, repairs and performs preventive maintenance on down-hole tool electronics and other equipment used in the application for down-hole operations. Areas of specialization within Product Service Line (PSL) specific shop operations may include: electrical aptitude, computer skills, machine tool rebuilding, surface equipment, and performing major repairs. Serve as the lead in the assembly and disassembly of electronic inserts, probes, and down-hole tools. Assist in making evaluations and recommendations for improvements on equipment based on maintenance history. Trains and assist tool technicians. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined. Skills are typically acquired through an Associates degree similar education and 5 years of tool operations experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines. Promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement process.
