Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the electrical commissioning activities, ensuring projects adhere to specifications, codes, and safety regulations, and are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists for electrical systems, encompassing power distribution, switchgear, and protective relaying.
  • Oversee and perform functional testing, including point-to-point checks, loop checks, and system integration testing, to verify proper operation of electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues during commissioning, collaborating with vendors, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications, and vendor documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor junior commissioning engineers and technicians, providing guidance and training on commissioning procedures and best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in electrical principles.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electrical commissioning, with a focus on industrial or power generation projects.
  • Has a strong understanding of international electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NEC), ensuring compliance in project execution.
