Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop detailed electrical system designs for building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

  • Prepare and review electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using advanced design software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical, and structural engineers, to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
  • Conduct load calculations, short circuit analysis, and voltage drop studies to ensure optimal system performance and safety.
  • Select appropriate electrical equipment and components, specifying materials and ensuring compatibility with project needs.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing technical input and resolving design-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the preparation of tender documents, cost estimates, and technical reports for electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with construction teams during project execution to address technical queries and ensure design intent is maintained.
  • Ensure all electrical designs adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in electrical design engineering to enhance project outcomes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of proven experience in electrical design engineering, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools.
  • Solid understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, local codes).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Experience in performing load calculations, short circuit analysis, and voltage drop studies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work onsite as required by project demands.
