Responsibilities

• Develop detailed wireframe designs and schematics for electrical systems and components.
• Collaborate with engineers to obtain feedback and improve on technical designs and layouts.
• Ensure all draft designs adhere to industry codes, safety regulations, and standards.
• Prepare accurate and complete documentation for electrical projects and installations.
• Coordinate with project managers to align design drafts with project timelines and budgets.
• Utilize advanced CAD software to produce clear and precise electrical drawings.
• Update existing electrical diagrams as needed to reflect changes and modifications.
• Assist in the identification and resolution of design and operational challenges.
• Maintain organized records of all drafts, designs, and related documents for easy retrieval.
• Review completed designs with engineering teams to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Liaise with construction and installation teams to resolve any design-related issues onsite.
• Continuously improve design processes by incorporating feedback and cutting-edge technologies.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in electrical engineering, drafting, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an electrical draftsman, with a solid design portfolio.
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and industry standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce precise, error-free drafts.
• Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of current trends and advancements in electrical drafting and design.
