Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
We are hiring a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Draftsman to join our Engineering Management & Technical Office team (DPT08). The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate execution drawings for all electrical systems, including power, lighting, distribution boards, and low-current systems. The role requires coordination with other disciplines to ensure full technical integration and compliance with approved designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed execution drawings for all electrical systems (power systems, lighting, conduits, distribution boards, low-current systems, etc.) using specialized drafting software based on approved design drawings.
- Translate technical notes and design models provided by the electrical engineer into accurate and comprehensive shop drawings.
- Coordinate electrical drawings with architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines to ensure clash-free and integrated project documentation.
- Update electrical drawings based on design changes or site-issued variations, in coordination with project and site engineers.
- Organize and archive all electrical drawings and documents in line with the technical office s document control standards.
- Assist the technical team in preparing detailed electrical layouts, sections, and component details as required per project needs.
- Calculate quantities for electrical elements (e.g., cable lengths, lighting units, switches, distribution panels) based on execution drawings.
- Prepare "As-Built" drawings by visiting the site and recording the actual installed systems, ensuring full alignment with final implementation.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to interpret and convert design drawings into precise execution documents.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Qualifications:
No specific academic degree required. - Years of Experience:
Minimum 8 years.
