Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in diesel generator systems with strong hands-on expertise in ComAp / Deep Sea controllers. The role involves installation, commissioning, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of DG sets for standby and prime power applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, install, and commission diesel generator electrical systems

  • Configure, program, and troubleshoot ComAp (InteliGen, InteliLite, etc.) and Deep Sea (DSE 7xxx / 8xxx series) controllers

  • Perform synchronization of generators (AMF, ATS, parallel operation, load sharing)

  • Conduct fault diagnosis and rectification for control panels, sensors, and protection systems

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel drawings

  • Carry out routine testing, preventive maintenance, and performance optimization

  • Interface generators with ATS, switchgear, PLCs, and SCADA systems

  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and local regulations

  • Provide technical support during breakdowns and emergency call-outs

  • Prepare technical reports, commissioning documents, and as-built drawings

  • Coordinate with mechanical teams, vendors, and clients during projects

Desired Candidate Profile

•Strong knowledge of diesel generator operation and protection systems

  • Hands-on experience with ComAp / Deep Sea controllers

  • Understanding of:

o AMF / ATS systems

o Synchronization & load sharing

o CAN bus, Modbus, and communication protocols

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical panels and field wiring

  • Knowledge of LV switchgear, breakers, relays, and sensors

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience with diesel generator systems

  • OEM or system integrator experience preferred

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with multi-generator parallel systems

  • Familiarity with remote monitoring and cloud-based DG management

  • Site commissioning and client-facing experience

Work Environment

  • Field-based and site commissioning work

  • May require travel and after-hours support.
