Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as a Dubai Municipality approved consultant providing electrical engineering expertise for diverse building and infrastructure developments.
  • Deliver comprehensive electrical engineering consultancy throughout all project stages, from conceptual design through execution and commissioning.
  • Prepare, review, and approve electrical design drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure full compliance with Dubai Municipality codes and standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of electrical documentation required for DM permit approvals.
  • Serve as the primary interface with Dubai Municipality officials, addressing technical inquiries and facilitating prompt resolution of comments.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams to ensure electrical systems meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Dubai Municipality electrical regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Mentor junior electrical engineers and consultants on compliance procedures and documentation standards.
  • Deliver all consulting outputs in alignment with client expectations, regulatory deadlines, and project quality requirements

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Official Dubai Municipality approved consultant status for electrical engineering.
  • Substantial consulting experience in electrical engineering design and regulatory compliance within Dubai.
  • In-depth knowledge of Dubai Municipality electrical codes, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-current systems.
  • Proven expertise in managing permit submission and approval processes with Dubai Municipality.
  • Skilled in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, or comparable tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership qualities.
