Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults within fire protection systems, utilizing diagnostic tools and technical expertise to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Perform repairs and replacements of faulty electrical components, including wiring, circuit boards, and other related equipment, adhering to established procedures and safety protocols.
- Oversee and manage fire safety systems upgrades and installations, collaborating with contractors and ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs, documenting all activities and findings in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to emergency calls related to fire alarm systems, providing immediate assistance and coordinating with relevant teams to mitigate risks and ensure occupant safety.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of new fire protection systems, verifying their functionality and compliance with relevant standards and codes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and other team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in electrical principles.
- Holds relevant certifications, such as NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) in Fire Alarm Systems, showcasing expertise and credibility.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of fire safety regulations and codes, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.
- Displays proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints, enabling effective troubleshooting and system modifications.
- Possesses strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently and accurately.
