Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Panel Production & Assembly

    • Prepare GA layouts, busbar schemes, wiring schedules, and terminal plans for marine switchboards.

    • Supervise production activities: material preparation, busbar fabrication, wiring, and pre‑FAT checks.

    • Ensure quality per IEC and marine standards (crimping, ferruling, cable routing, labelling, torquing).

  • Compliance & Standards

    • Build panels to IEC 61439 and IEC 60092 standards; prepare documentation for class approvals (DNV, ABS, BV, RINA).

    • Apply marine environmental considerations (temperature, vibration, salt mist, EMC).

  • Estimation (Added Advantage)

    • Perform BOM take‑offs, vendor quote comparisons, and prepare cost sheets.

    • Suggest value‑engineering alternatives for cost optimization.

  • Testing & Commissioning Support

    • Develop FAT/SAT procedures; execute routine tests (IR, HV, functional tests).

    • Provide site support for installation and commissioning.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

  • 2–4 years experience in panel building for marine switchboards.

  • Strong knowledge of IEC 61439, IEC 60092, and marine class rules.

  • Familiarity with LV switchgear components: ACB/MCCB, contactors, relays, meters, PMS, UPS, PLC, power supplies.

Added Advantage

  • Design experience using EPLAN Electric P8 or AutoCAD Electrical.

  • Exposure to PMS/PPU/PPM modules and marine power management system
