Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Electrical Engineer – Site Based is responsible for overseeing and executing all electrical works at the project site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, authority regulations, and quality standards. The role involves close coordination with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of electrical systems, particularly in high-end residential and luxury villa projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Execution & Supervision
Supervise all on-site electrical works, including power, lighting, ELV, and low current systems.
Ensure all installations are carried out as per approved shop drawings and project specifications
Monitor daily site activities and ensure work progress aligns with the project schedule
Technical Coordination
Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to resolve technical issues
Review and interpret electrical shop drawings, IFC drawings, and as-built drawings.
Identify and resolve clashes between electrical and other disciplines
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure all electrical works comply with project specifications and quality standards
Conduct inspections and coordinate with QA/QC teams for approvals
Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, Civil Defense)
Material & Submittals
Review and follow up on material submittals, technical data sheets, and samples
Ensure materials delivered on-site meet approved specifications
Coordinate with procurement for timely material delivery
Testing and Commissioning
Supervise testing and commissioning of electrical systems
Coordinate with consultants and authorities for inspections and approvals
Ensure proper documentation and handover of completed systems
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain record of site activities, inspections, and progress reports
Prepare RFIs, method statements, and daily/weekly reports
Ensure proper documentation for project handover
Health & Safety
Ensure all electrical works are carried out in compliance with HSE standards
Identify potential risks and implement corrective actions
Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in construction (preferably luxury villas / high-end projects.)
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, MEP coordination, and site execution
Familiarity with local authority requirements (DEWA, Civil Defense, etc.,)
Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office (Revit/BIM is an advantage)
Experience & Skills:
Experience in high-end residential or luxury villa projects
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
Excellent coordination and communication abilities
Attention to detail, especially in high-end finishing
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Team Player with strong organizational skills
