Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Execute installation and erection of high-voltage substation equipment including transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, VTs, and associated systems.

  2. Perform site inspections, clearances, and ensure readiness for installation, testing, and energization activities.

  3. Supervise day-to-day site activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements.

  4. Coordinate with civil and MEP teams to ensure proper interface and smooth execution of electrical works.

  5. Liaise with engineers for inspections, site approvals, and closure of snags/punch points.

  6. Ensure adherence to Permit-to-Work (PTW) system and HSE standards during all site activities.

  7. Coordinate with OEM vendors for equipment installation, testing support, and supervision.

  8. Monitor construction progress and ensure completion within project schedule and budget constraints.

  9. Maintain accurate site documentation including inspection reports, material records, and daily progress updates.

  10. Identify and report technical issues, deviations, and scope changes during project execution.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with experience in substation construction projects (132kV and above).

  • DEWA/ETIHADWE/SEWA/FEWA/ADDC/AADC/TRANSCO/TAQA or any Related Utility Approval

  • Hands-on experience in electrical equipment installation, site inspections, and clearance activities.

  • Strong coordination skills with contractors, OEM vendors, and client representatives.

  • Good understanding of site safety practices, permit-to-work (PTW) system, and adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
