Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine the scope of electrical work and accurately estimate project costs.
- Prepare detailed and accurate electrical cost estimates by calculating labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor expenses, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, negotiating favorable pricing and terms to optimize project profitability.
- Conduct site visits and collaborate with project managers to assess site conditions, identify potential challenges, and refine estimates accordingly.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field to establish a strong technical foundation.
- Holds relevant certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar, demonstrating commitment to professional development.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in electrical estimating within the commercial or industrial construction sector.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems, to ensure accurate estimations.
