The Electrical Supervisor provides daily technical support to rig crews, supervises overhauls both on board and in workshops, and supports preventive maintenance program (PMS) compliance. This position ensures electrical reliability and reduces downtime by leading field-level coordination of electrical activities across units.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Scheduled Maintenance and Daily Oversight:
Review daily operational reports and communicate with unit maintenance crews to monitor running conditions, troubleshoot electrical issues, and ensure availability of critical spare parts to minimize downtime.
Supervise execution of scheduled maintenance activities and review PMS job completions to verify compliance with electrical standards and work instructions.
Support and recommend adjustments to PMS tasks and schedules to enhance EAM system effectiveness and long-term equipment reliability.
Follow up on weekly reports for crane alarms, engine shutdown systems, fire and gas detectors to ensure consistent functionality and preventive maintenance coverage.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Diagnose electrical faults reported by rig crews and coordinate corrective actions to restore safe operations and maintain uptime.
Review equipment maintenance history and determine appropriate repair route (on board or via workshop), escalating high-impact issues as needed.
Ensure Maintenance Repair Reports (MRRs) are reviewed and submitted after commissioning to the electrical superintendent, PMS section & unit manager confirming repair quality and operational readiness.

Overhaul Planning and Execution:
Inspect equipment condition before overhaul and support preparation of spare parts/tools list to ensure readiness for scheduled maintenance windows.
Coordinate with rig teams and ERP systems to initiate part requisitions and validate resource availability.
Liaise with vendors and 3rd-party certifiers to arrange overhaul testing and inspection scopes in compliance with OEM standards.
Establish overhaul timelines in collaboration with rig PIC and managers to meet operational planning and execution windows

On-Board Overhaul Supervision:
Supervise overhaul activities on board, including repair, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure proper restoration of function and compliance with safety requirements.
Oversee third-party inspections for systems such as gas detection, current injection, and thermographic surveys to verify certification and performance standards.
Monitor equipment performance during post-overhaul operation and request oil sampling or condition-based monitoring where needed.
Submit updated MRRs to the superintendent and rig team to document equipment status and completed work.

Workshop Repair Oversight:
Select and coordinate with approved workshops based on capability and spare/tool availability to ensure timely, high-quality repairs.
Follow up on workshop activities and repair progress with vendors and senior engineering staff to track status and ensure compliance.
Conduct visual inspections and testing before accepting completed repairs and commissioning equipment as required back on board.
Prepare and submit post-repair MRRs summarizing findings, test results, and recommendations to rig teams and superintendents.

Survey, Audit, and Inspection:
Conduct field inspections and supervise repair processes when failure rates or equipment performance indicators exceed normal rate to identify and correct root causes. Randomly sample PMS activities and verify PM schedule and job execution accuracy to ensure maintenance integrity.
Coordinate OEM inspections and certification activities to validate equipment condition and secure necessary certificates of compliance (COCs).
