Electrical & Instrumentation Construction Engineer Brunel Oil and Gas Services WLL Qatar

Electrical:

• Supervise installation of:

  • Transformers, panels, MCCs, VFDs

  • Lighting, earthing, lightning protection

  • Cable trays, conduits, cable pulling & termination

• Ensure compliance with approved drawings and electrical codes.

• Coordinate power availability for construction and commissioning.

• Review contractor method statements and ITPs.

• Witness testing: insulation resistance, continuity, HV tests.

• Coordinate pre‑commissioning and energization activities.

• Ensure electrical safety rules, PTW, and lock‑out/tag‑out.

• Interface with utility authorities if required.

• Close electrical punch lists and handover systems.

Instrumentation:

• Supervise installation of:

  • Field instruments (flow, level, pressure, temperature)

  • Control valves and actuators

  • JB installation, impulse tubing

• Oversee cable laying, termination, and marshalling.

• Ensure installation as per P&IDs, hook‑ups, and loop diagrams.

• Review contractor method statements and installation practices.

• Coordinate loop checking, functional testing, and FAT/SAT.

• Support PLC/DCS system integration and commissioning.

• Ensure intrinsic safety and hazardous area compliance.

• Maintain installation and test records.

• Execute work under strict electrical and process safety controls.

• Coordinate with other disciplines, operations and HSSE for executing all jobs safely.
