Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Role Summary
The E&I Engineer reviews electrical power systems, instrumentation, and control design to ensure safe, reliable, and operable operation of the Gasoline Unit.

Key Responsibilities
Review E&I design basis documents.
Review electrical load lists, power balance, and single-line diagrams.
Review power distribution systems, MCCs, transformers, UPS, and emergency power.
Review hazardous area equipment selection and compliance
Review grounding, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
Review instrument specifications, datasheets, and installation philosophy.
Review instrument index, I/O lists, and loop diagrams.
Review control narratives, shutdown philosophy, and cause & effect diagrams.
Review control valve sizing and selection.
Review DCS / PLC architecture, redundancy, and network segregation.
Review alarm management and interlock logic.
Participate in SIL and functional safety reviews.
Review E&I vendor packages and technical deviations.
Confirm compliance with IEC, IEEE, ISA, NEC, and refinery standards.
