Electrical & Medical Gas Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise operation and maintenance of electrical systems (distribution panels, generators, UPS).
• Monitor electrical loads and prevent faults or overloads.
• Implement preventive and scheduled maintenance plans.
• Respond immediately to electrical faults and emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards within the hospital.
• Coordinate with medical departments to ensure uninterrupted power supply for ICU & operating rooms.
• Supervise medical gas systems (oxygen, medical air, nitrous oxide, vacuum).
• Monitor gas pressure and purity as per standards.
• Maintain central gas networks, tanks, pipelines, and distribution units.
• Ensure continuous gas supply without leaks or interruptions.
• Conduct periodic testing of gas outlets in clinical areas.
• Coordinate with suppliers and maintenance contractors.
• Apply safety standards such as NFPA and HTM.
• Develop contingency plans for power or gas outages.
• Investigate technical incidents and prepare reports.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health and accreditation requirements.
