Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare complete and coordinated electrical shop drawings for lighting, power, low current, and earthing systems.
Review design drawings (IFC, tender) and translate them into constructible shop drawings.
Coordinate with architectural, structural, and mechanical teams to avoid service clashes and ensure proper installation.
Develop layouts, sections, load schedules, SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), panel board schedules, etc.
Ensure all drawings comply with local codes (NEC, IEC) and project specifications.
Modify drawings to reflect consultant comments and site conditions as required.
Assist in BIM coordination and clash detection using Revit MEP / Navisworks.
Maintain drawing logs and version control of all submissions and revisions.
Coordinate with procurement and site execution teams regarding material selection and constructability.
Prepare as-built drawings based on final installation
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 8 years of experience in Electrical shop drawing preparation and design
- Solid understanding of electrical systems in buildings: lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, data, CCTV, access control, etc
- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code), IEC, and local authority requirements
- Very Good
- Very Good
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP is Mandatory, and Microsoft Office Suite
