Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare Electrical Technical Submittals, including Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, BOQs, Cable Lists, Load Schedules, Layouts, and Lighting & Power Plans, while ensuring proper coordination with other departments.
  • Develop the electrical section of the Operation and Maintenance Manual (OMM) and prepare test documentation such as FAT, SAT, Mega Ohm Test, Continuity and Loop Test, and Functional Tests.
  • Send RFQs to suppliers for electrical work, negotiate terms, coordinate approvals, and manage supplier communications.
  • Program Micro Relays (e.g., LOGO and Zelio).
  • Oversee site installations, troubleshooting, and ensure compliance with electrical standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of projects.
  • Ensure adherence to local regulations and industry best practices in electrical engineering and site execution.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 7 years of proven experience in Electrical and Instrumentation works installation, testing, and commissioning, within the water treatment, oil & gas, or industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design, testing procedures, and documentation.
  • Installation and testing of systems such as panels, cable management systems, lighting, earthing & lightning, instrumentation, cable routing, glanding, and termination.
  • Conducting FATs, SATs, Megger Testing, Loop Testing, and instrument calibration.
  • PLC/HMI/SCADA commissioning (training certification preferred).
  • Experience in RFQ preparation, supplier coordination, and project execution.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, electrical design software, and PLC programming is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills with various parties.
