Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the electrical technical office team, ensuring high-quality engineering deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of electrical shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and other technical disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within overall MEP works.
Develop and implement standardized procedures and workflows for technical office operations to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
Review project specifications, contracts, and design documents to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and draftsmen, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Liaise with suppliers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical queries and ensure timely procurement of materials.
Monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
Ensure all electrical technical office activities comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
Support the business development team with technical input for tenders, proposals, and client presentations.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong background in technical office management within the MEP industry.
Proven track record of leading and developing technical office teams in large-scale construction or electro-mechanical projects.
Extensive experience in preparing, reviewing, and approving electrical shop drawings and material submittals.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards relevant to fire fighting, plumbing, and HVAC integration.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other electrical design and documentation software.
Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and drive operational excellence.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Commitment to upholding safety, quality, and compliance standards in all technical office activities.
